Karen Ensall moved all the way across the country, from Southern California, just to be part of the Ocala area horse community.  She and her hubby, Dave, enjoy life on the farm with their 2 dogs and their horses.   If you see a fast moving blur tolting down the trail- most likely that's our Karen on her Icelandic horse!  Look for her most often at Black Prong, Ross Prairie, or Shangri La- her favorite rides!

The Sun Country Trail Blazers is a non profit horse and trail riding association located in the Ocala, Florida, area.   Our mission is to share our enjoyment of our local trails and horse events, and to provide an organized group for horse related activities.  Newcomers welcome! (We also have secured some cool discounts for our members at local equestrian suppliers!)  Find us on Facebook for the most up to date information on rides and events! (We have a special "members only" group that you will not want to miss out on.)

Marilee McGinnis is a 30 year resident of FL, and is originally from Connecticut.  At one time she had the only horse on the island of St. John in the Virgin Islands. She is a retired school principal, and has traveled the world catching horse rides in many different countries!  These days Marilee resides in Ocala with her husband Tom, as well as her dogs, cats, horse, and parrot. She particularly enjoys our club kayak trips!

Thank you so much to our club sponsors!

Just like a spunky gal from West Virginia to take on the challenge of leading our club!  (And her family wonders where this love of horses came from?) Karen Ogburn, and her husband Pat enjoy their small farm in the Crystal River area, just outside Ocala with their horses and dog.  She is retired (well, except for her tireless volunteerism) and enjoys the trails on her Spotted Saddle Horse, Ella!

Ruth Raison is an amazing woman! Not only was she named Woman of the Year with the Federation of Pure Puerto Rican Paso Finos, she is also the owner of Sintesis, the Grand Champion Stallion for 2019 as well!  A retired family nurse practitioner, grandmother, and avid trail rider - we don't even have to guess what breed is her favorite! Ruth enjoys the trails at the Goethe forest, near her home, but her versatile horse will go anywhere!

Denise Raymond is originally from Myrtle Beach, SC and was awarded the title of Sun Country's 2019 Trail Rider of the year.  She is self employed as a Social Media Manager and Publicist.  A resident of Ocala, she is owned by a herd of 7 full sized equines,  1 pony and 1 donkey.  Most often you will catch her on the trails on her Rocky Mountain Horse, Sam, but she also enjoys her leopard appaloosa, Patootie, and her Peruvian Horse, Rueben!

Seminole Feed has supported our club for many years. Many of our members quite simply wouldn't feed anything else.  Seminole Feed has 3 stores in the Ocala area. Tell em we sent ya!
