​Denise Raymond is originally from Myrtle Beach, SC and was awarded the title of Sun Country's 2019 Trail Rider of the Year.  She is self employed as a Social Media and Podcast Client Manager.  A resident of Ocala, she is owned by a herd of 7 full sized equines,  1 pony and 1 donkey. When not riding, Denise enjoys kayaking and karaoke. 

Karen Ensall moved all the way across the country, from Southern California, just to be part of the Ocala area horse community.  She and her hubby, Dave, enjoy life on the farm with their 2 dogs and their horses.   If you see a fast moving blur tolting down the trail- most likely that's our Karen on her Icelandic horse!  Look for her most often at Black Prong, Ross Prairie, or Shangri La- her favorite rides!

Our Treasurer, Nancy Puckett with her husband Frank, relocated to Ocala from Texas a few years ago.  At one time, Nancy owned more than 100 Rocky Mountain horses and was involved in breeding, showing, and traveling the US with her horses.  These days, Nancy enjoys the trails with her two Rockies, Aria and Jack.  (And plays a pretty mean game of golf too!)

Just like a spunky gal from West Virginia to take on the challenge of leading our club!  (And her family wonders where this love of horses came from?) Karen Ogburn, and her husband Pat enjoy their small farm in the Crystal River area, just outside Ocala with their horses and dog.  She is retired (well, except for her tireless volunteerism) and enjoys the trails on her Spotted Saddle Horse, Ella!

The Sun Country Trail Blazers is a non profit horse and trail riding association located in the Ocala, Florida, area.   Our mission is to share our enjoyment of our local trails and horse events, and to provide an organized group for horse related activities.  Newcomers welcome!
